The Cherish Series Wins Silver at the Profoto Awards.
The Cherish Series was a project that I worked on with Rudi Silberman between June 2009 – and June 2010. The idea was to create surreal imagery that represented to the subject depicted within the image something that they cherished in there life, brought to an image that they could physically cherish…does that make sense?
The project to me was a great success and I was glad that I could work on something that was unlike anything that I have seen from my peers.
The portfolio of the Cherish received a silver award in the Fine Art Photography at the 2009 Profoto Awards. SO that was pretty cool!

Well Done on your wonderful achievement. You guys totally deserved it but to be biased I think you guys deserved the gold for sure… and I am very proud that we own one of your original masterpieces. We love it still to this day and will definitely relish and cherish it for many years.

Hi Ian, I was really moved and shocked by the story of Celeste. I’ve been married for a year now – also to a Francois, and when I visit some of the photography blogs I catch myself thinking that I should rather have done this or that or why didn’t I think of that, realising now how stupid it is and that the wedding details are not what matters. At least I can be with the love of my life and an awesome wedding day to remember… I hope Celeste will one day have her wedding day and with only the best memories! Thank you for sharing this and for the photos of Celeste, they are truely something special and unique.
