Daren & Alexia *Portraits in Kommetjie*

Daren and Alexia met me one morning recently at 5:30am to do this shoot in Kommetjie.  Their wedding is coming up in December, and I wanted to do the shoot as early as possible, as this time of the year (October) the light is so awesome in the morning.  One thing I have noticed about shooting really early in the morning is that your creative strengths seem to be more “out there” so to speak.  Im not sure if it is because its so darn early in the morning and were all a bit loopy or if it is because we are still so fresh and we dont have anything on our mind from the day past, or we havent exhausted some of our energies throughout the day.  To be honest, I wish all my shoots would start at 5:30 in the morning! So if your a client reading this, and maybe wondering…..yes, I would like to shoot it early.  I understand though its tough to wake up, and get ready and drive to the shoot…….and that is why most people wont go for it…But its not something one does everyday so worth the effort for the experience.
